What transformer can be used with the ServoXciter (V3.00+)?
The new DC power recepticle on the ServoXciter EF (with software version 3.00+) requires a plug with a 0.70 mm inner diameter (ID) and a 2.35mm outer diameter (OD) - the transformer used should have a positive center, 8 to 12 volts, and capable of 800+ mA. The ServoXciter EF's internal 9-volt battery should be removed when using the external power source. Thanks to dls_1946 for the following power transformer information - Radio Shack has a series of AC-DC power transformers that accept its Adaptaplug series of power plugs.... :arrow: 9VDC, 800 mA transformer (part 273-1768). :arrow: coaxial adapter plug model "A" (part 273-1704). Be sure to orient the adapter plug properly when attaching it to the transformer's cable - it can be plugged in two ways, only one of which is correct (center conductor positive).
