Control knob Question Hi There,
Got my Servoxciter about a month or so ago, and only hooked it up to a servo tonight. What I have noticed when I am in DRIVE mode is that the servo goes through it's full range of movement, but I only get to turn the control knob a couple of degrees. I mean, if the knob had 1-10 marked on it, the full servo movement happens from "0-1". Beyond that, I hear the servo "load up, as see the shaft move to the side, as though it's under great pressure (up to approx "4"). Beyond that, the servo does nothing, and I can move the control arm without feeling any resistance.
This very small band of control makes it difficult to make nice linear movements with control surfaces and very small adjustments to servo travel in DRIVE mode are almost impossible.
Is my servoxciter behaving correctly?

No, your ServoXciter is not behaving correctly. What is the display showing? Under default conditions the display will show 1.000ms (knob fully counter-clockwise) to 2.000ms (knob fully clockwise).
If the display is showing strange values (e.g. q.210, etc) then the end-point memory could be corrupt. With corrupted end-point values the ServoXciter will be trying to drive the servo with erroneous pulse lengths which sounds like the problem you describe.
Setting the system defaults normally fixes this issue. Press and hold the SELECT switch while powering the unit with the POWER switch. The display will show DEFAULTS LOADED and then resume operation with the factory default settings.

All sorted.. As per your suggestion, I reset the unit and loaded default settings and it fixed the problem.
Many thanks!

Great - we very rarely have issues with ServoXciters, but in those rare occasions a "resetting of the defaults" usually does the trick.
Thanks,
Alan
